Automatic Exchange Of Information: Switzerland Signed An Agreement With The European Union And Australia
The Swiss National Council approved the agreements with the European Union and with Australia on the automatic exchange of information referred to treaties already signed in March 2016.
The parties have now completed agreements with a joint statement providing for the entry into force on 1 January 2017. From that date, Switzerland will begin to collect data that will be exchanged from 1 January 2018. The data exchanged shall be the following: account number , name, address and date of birth of the owner, tax identification number , interest and dividends , income from certain insurance contract , the balance of the accounts, as well as income from the sale of financial products .
