Extra 200 million euros for the support and reinforcement, on the whole Italian territory, to innovative startups and SMEs. The resources, allocated in the Venture Capital support Fund established at MiSE, will be entrusted to the National Innovation Fund to support co-investments in the equity of Italian innovative startups and SMEs along with Regulated and/or Qualified Investors. Investment shall be directed to Italian innovative startups and SMEs which are joining investment rounds or already joined a round in the previous six months before the D.L. Rilancio came into force.
Throughout the Fund will be provided resources up to a maximum of 4 times the investment of the Regulated and/or Qualified Investors, up to an overall limit of 1 million euros for each innovative startups or SMEs.
The investee target companies will be selected under specific characteristics:
a) legal seat, and business being carried on, in Italy;
b) true and measurable potentiality on the basis of quantitative and/or qualitative indicators (i.e. revenue growth, sustainability of the strategic and business plan, strategic contracts, patents filed with potentiality);
c) free to investigative processes ongoing;
d) pass the tests of risk management and AML.
