SUPPLEMENTARY BENEFITS 2021: WHAT CHANGES?

The supplementary benefits (PC) to the AHV and AI are of help when the annuities and other income fail to cover the vital needs of the insured. Together with the AHV and AI, they form the basis of the social security of our state. On January 1, 2021, the CP reform came into effect. Overview of the main reform measures:

•          Increase in the maximum amounts recognized for rent costs
•          Better calculation of the substance

-          Introduction of an entrance threshold

-          Introduction of the obligation to return PCs by the heirs

-          Reduction of the deductibles applicable to the substance

•          New rules for covering the vital needs of children
•          Computation of 80% of the spouse's income
•          Health insurance premiums: actual costs
•          Adjustment of CP calculation for people living in institutions
•          Lowering the minimum amount of PCs
